Should we colonise the Moon?
I've just been down to Melbourne, and dropped in at the science fiction / fantasy conference WorldCon. By chance I bumped into Chris Carson from the Luna Project (www.lunarcc.org). Good thing, because I really enjoyed this interview. I think you'll find it fascinating too.
What would we get on the Moon. How would we get there. What about the dust! And most of all, Why? Also some interesting tidbits about the Apollo 11 moon landing.
Brought to you by Rod. You can see a picture of Chris on our Facebook.

If we colonised the moon we’d f**8 that up as well and theres nothing there to destroy. A large multinational would probably try and mine it for XYZ , market heavily to tell us that we really needed it and ‘hey ho’ we are spending more than what it would take to feed the world for a year for some CEO’s wifes divorce cut.
Still guess thats the ways its always been done

Interesting comment, thanks. As a space boy, I can’t help get excited about travelling to the planets. Surely, I hope, it’s our future.
But then again I know you’re right. We’ll turn it into another mine site. Still, at least there’s no fauna or flora there. Nor any native inhabitants for us to pacify, and turn into clones of ourselves.
