Who wants silverfish?
Sep 13th, 2009 by fuzzylogicon2xx
Today we found a reason to love silverfish. Yes, they eat your cloths and your prize books, but did you also know they weave silk? But even weirder, did you know they have an elaborate mating ritual, and they live quite a long time for an insect?
Also noteworthy in this program, our unusual guest Andrew Walker (Phd student ANU) plays live for us in the studio. This may be a first ever for Fuzzy. You can hear his wonderful vocals and acoustic guitar in this podcast.
PS Can you supply Andrew with silverfish for his study? He’s paying $2 each! Perhaps the first time in history someone’s that keen on acquiring an insect we think is a pest! Call him on 0419 712 754
Also in this show, burning in the Tundra. And the joys of Frozen Shoulder, aka Adhesive Capsulitis. For Rod’s blog, see http://acapsulitis.blogspot.com, covering anecdotes, the science, and therapies for those with this debilitating condition.
